Exploring Kyushu, a never ending story, part 11

 Thoughts.

This time in History: 2009.
We were with our sailing yacht Alishan
on the Kinabatangan River in Borneo, Malaysia
Sweet merry memories.
This year's Christmas will be where?
Anyway, it's the honor of Billie Bee Bus to take us.

Driving along nicely in Kagoshima and suddenly you get this spectacular view.
Stop.
Time for a picture.
And a coffee.
That's quality time for us.

If your camper road trip takes you to Kumamoto City,
make sure you'll visit Suizenji Park
and sit down to enjoy a cuppa O-Cha with this amazing view.

That's what it's all about.
Drive, see and park away from all the hustle and bustle.
(picture by one of our customers)

Wintery Scenery.
You don't want to miss out.

It's cold but this is wintery scenery you'll enjoy.
BTW, all our campers have Webasto FF heaters installed.

This time in History: Mt Unzen, Nagasaki.
Those early mornings, best light there is.

That's all for now.
Salute.

Exploring Kyushu, a never ending story, part 10

 Autumn This and That.

Wouldn't you like to go on a Kyushu camper tour?
Autumn is the best time to do so.

Give me a P.
Persimmons !
Can there be life without these orange autumn jewels?
Hard, super-soft (the best) or soon to come, the dried ones.
Yummy.

Best seat in the House. Spectacular views thanks to superb autumn weather.
From the top of Mt Raizan, we could see: Mt Unzen, Mt Aso, Mt Kuju, Mt Hiko and to the NW, even could see Tsushima and Okinoshima.

Sunrise and sunset skies are so spectacular with this almost winter light.

Settling for the night.

Now with the autumn colors gone, so looking forward to hiking trips in snowy country side.

Just enjoying some slow pace in life.
Sunset moment at Ariaki Kai, Kumamoto.
Isn't that something?

Let's not forget we're in the Land of Sashimi.

And in the Land of Hot Springs.
Today, I would rather be here.
Wouldn't you?

Here we just get Lost in Time.
Isn't that what counts?

2 of our campers really enjoyed their autumn road-trip in wonderful koyo-land.
Make a note to follow suit next year.

After all, it's an island with plenty of volcanic activity.
Lots of excitement to be explored.

Exploring Kyushu, a never ending story, part 9

On the Move.

We are never getting tired of exploring new locations.
As you might know by now: Outdoors is our favorite.

Nature surprises us again and again.
Autumn's flower treasure is of course " cosmos ".
The sweet colors that prepare us for the dark winter months to come
.

Saga International Balloon Festival 2021.
Unfortunately, this year was a very limited edition due to covid.

Somehow this trip became a Cultural Rural Road-trip :-)

That's what we luff about driving around rural Kyushu.
Get off the beaten track and discover.

Discovering new places is a never ending story.
Happy to do so with Billie Bee Bus.

Exploring Kyushu, a never ending story, part 8

Exploring Kyushu, a never ending story, part 8

True is true (1) : Camper road trip is not always rural and nature.
The odd big city deserves a visit.
In case you worry: Expressways are a pleasure to drive.
True is true (2) : Camper rental, way to go.

Not a road trip.
But a boat delivery trip.
Spectacular Naruto Whirlpools.

A trick we use often: Use the #Expressway for a long stretch and plan that with an overnight stay at one of the amazing rest areas.
Why?
* The expressway fee is discounted !!
* Traffic is far and few.
* The early hours sceneries.

A camper road trip in Kyushu it The way to Go as public transport is far and few.
Plus, a camper allows you to go and stay where- and whenever it pleases you.
Picture location: Mt Aso.

Sunset moment.
Time to reflect on the day.

Yappari Kyushu Colors.
You won't want to miss out.

A must-do is a stop at Iwakuni Bridge.

This scenery picture would make a good one for a jig-saw puzzle, don't you agree?
Camper road trip, way to go.

Camper with a view.
Can you think of a better place?

Kyushu had a very colorful autumn. Yeahhh.
Thinking about a camper road trip next fall?

Flashback to our visit of Mt Daisen, Tottori ken.

Once Again a spectacular Itoshima Hike

Did more or less same loop as last weekend.

But 1 big difference: Hardly no more autumn colors.

But thanx to the nice weather, the views from the top were spectacular.

Early in the morning we even could see Tsushima Island.

Salute.
