Well, Jaap made it back home to Marijke, the Cats and Alishan. And yes i made it okay through customs with 75 stroopwafels, more than 6 kg cheese and plenty of other bits and pieces. It was great to see Mom, the family and friends. To be with them and share all that "special" dutch food etc. But: flying will never be my hobby (esp. NOT with KLM, grgrgr). This last week of July will see us making Alishan cruise-ready. Then if weather permits, Alishan will leave Ginowan and head further North. Still so many islands to visit here in Japan. Salute | ||

HiJaap & Marijke,
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you both and enjoying your beautiful pictures!
You won't believe this, but i actually know the Alishan song!
Yes, I can sing it. I've forgotten when and how i learnt it but i can still sing it! We can sing together when our path cross again.
Are your still in Okinawa? Hubert will be going there in mid september for 6 weeks and I will be in Lake Biwa, Shiga from the 4th to the 9th of August. Any chance that you guys might be around that neighbourhood?
have a nice day!
