Home Again

Well, Jaap made it back home to Marijke, the Cats and Alishan.
And yes i made it okay through customs with 75 stroopwafels, more than 6 kg cheese and plenty of other bits and pieces.
It was great to see Mom, the family and friends. To be with them and share all that "special" dutch food etc.
But: flying will never be my hobby (esp. NOT with KLM, grgrgr).
This last week of July will see us making Alishan cruise-ready.
Then if weather permits, Alishan will leave Ginowan and head further North.
Still so many islands to visit here in Japan.

In Holland to visit Mom

With Alishan safely parked at Ginowan Marina, and Jaap's Mom not being too well, it was time to fly to Holland. As usually only one of us could go as Nori and Wakame need Luff and Care, so Marijke stayed behind.

Hmm, what a timing with Holland's results at the WC soccer in South Africa.

Even Mom was in the right "Oranje" mode:

Today is the morning-after: sniff, sniff.

It's back to "normal life", now the WC soccer is done. It was wonderfull to taste the admosfer here in Holland. Also due to suberb summer weather with temperatures in the 25~30 C.

Ginowan Marina, Okinawa

Alishan found herself a possy in Ginowan Marina in Okinawa.
Position:
26 degree 16.6N
127 degree 43.7E
It's the 3rd time for us to make a stop in Okinawa..and yes we do have friends living here. Great to catch up again.
We made the 25 mile jump from Kerama just in time as it has been Thunder & Lightning, Windy and Raining ever since we are here. The Marina is said to be a typhoon safe place...Well, we hope not to test it ourselves. But it is a peace of mind idea as Jaap will fly to Holland for a few weeks. Marijke and The Gang of Nori and Wakame will stay with Alishan.
Now, Marijke has a few things on her To Do List. One of them is a new Q report for the Homepage. The pictures are more or less ready to be uploaded..so stay tuned.
